Hello
I am trying to understand whether it is possible to store the u20AC symbol in SAP Business Warehouse Version 7. Our source system is Unicode ECC6 and our BW system is NetWeaver 7 but is non-Unicode. The u20AC sysmbol transfers but is converted to '#' as is defined in the MDMP and Unicode tab of the SM59 entry for our source system in BW.
My question here is, is there any way of getting BW to recognise the u20AC symbol? I have been advised by our IBM consultant on site there is an OSS note to apply but he is 'unable' to locate it. If anyone knows about this could they provide the note number?!
Any assistance would be very helpful!
Many thanks.
Sally
Hi Sally,
the u20AC-symbol is exclusively supported in Unicode only in SAP systems.
All Non-Unicode code pages used by ABAP systems, do not support this symbol.
Hence I think your only option is to use Unicode on the BW side as well ....
Please have a look at SAP note 447596 for reference.
Best regards,
Nils Buerckel
