Logon page customization

Former Member

Dear all,

I'm working on a Netweaver2004s platform with ABAP stack as UME data provider.

I'm trying to customize the standard logon page (adding logon help) but even if I changed the parameters in Visual Admin and restart the application server the system doesn't react accordingly.

It seems like the system has somewhere an outdated version of logon page and that it's still using it.

How can I be sure that the system is using a fresh copy of logon page? Where am I wrong?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

As per the help link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/fc3ae22adb025fe10000000a1553f7/content.htm

UME properties to be edited in the Config Tool and then application server restart required.

Hope it helps.

Hi Srikishan,

I've already set the property "ume.logon.logon_help" to "TRUE" as mentioned in the help and I've restarted the AS. Anyway nothing happens and I can't see any additional button or link in the logon page.

Any ideas?

Hi Stefan,

In you first post, you mentioned editing the UME properties in the 'Visual Administrator'.

Guessing it is a typo for 'Config Tool'.

Tried the same on one of my NW AS Java system and additional logon information appears on the login screen.

Hi Srikishan,

you got it! As mentioned here:

UME ignores changes made by Visual Admin so I must use Config Tool instead.

You were illuminating! Thanks a lot!
