ASKB works when Posting in GL indicator is 4 ?

Hi,

Can you please clarify the below.....

In OADB, two of dep.areas (10 & 20) mentioned as "Real" and Posting in GL indicator is 4(Area posts APC directly and Depreciation).

Scenario: I posted a APC transaction but as a GL is blocked for the other dep.areas (10 &20) , the APC value posted for 01 area but not posted to other dep.areas.

I corrected the GL and ran ASKB then APC value posted to other two dep.areas.

Question: Even though Posting in GL indicator is 4(Area posts APC directly and Depreciation), ASKB works here. I do hope, ASKB works....Can you please confirm that as it's Std. SAP behaviour?

Any limitations are there?

Hi, yes, and APC too.

As far as I remember it can be used also for real depreciation areas on real time update, if there are more then one
