Down payment in FBB1

Hi,

when I am trying to post down payment in FBB1 T.code, there is no provision to enter special GL indicator and i am getting below error message.

Special G/L indicator not defined or incorrect

Message no. F5838

I understand that it is not possible to post down payments in FBB1, may I know is there any SAP note which explains this behaviour or is it possible to post down payment in FBB1 / F-05.

Hi,

Check the posting key you are using and whether special gl is tcked there because of which it mat be asking special gl.

I am trying to post down payment, posting key 29 - spl GL is ticked but no provision to enter the spl GL indicator in FBB1.

Hi,

For posting key F-29 you can use f-47 or F048. FBB1 is not for special gl. If you have some querry on this revert back.
