SAP CRM 7.0 System Validations

Former Member

Hello,

Our Basis team has built the CRM 7.0 ABAP and Java Dev systems. We have to do the necessary validations and accept the system. I am wondering what kind of validations need to happen.

Is there a standard checklist or work instruction which describes the steps to be followed to do the validations.

Thanks,

CRMNERD.

Well this is somewhat of a strange question, but I think I can answer this in general

1) Validate that the system is accessible via SAP GUI

2) Validate that you can access the IMG and the BSP component workbench on the CRM box and they run as expected

3) If the box will connect to ECC, download and connect the CRM middleware to the backend ECC system

4) Download some initial master data

5) Validate that the webclient UI can be accessed and view the standard CRM applications for your business mode without adjusting SAP delivered config

That's a basic checklist, you should be able to do all these tasks without getting a ton of shortdumps or errors. If you can do these steps, then the system is ready to go.

Take care,

Stephen
