Greetings,
Would appreciate if somebody could point me in the right direction on this one. We're setting up two versions of each report that we've got, one which is the "pretty" version and the other being the "export" version which is all fixed up to export nicely to Excel.
We have the pretty report in the main folder, with the export version in the export folder. We'd like to be able to set it up so that when the user clicks on the export version in the export folder, it is automatically sent to Excel rather than shown on the screen. Does anyone know if this is possible and how it might get done?
Michael
If I understood your question correctly, your requirement is to open the report directly in excel when you right click on the report and click on View or on double click. If that is right, there is no configuration/setting in InfoView or CMC for such functionality, how ever you can always save the document/report to your computer as excel and then open it from there which involves more clicks or you may want to schedule the report to create the instance in Excel format, that way, you can directly view the latest instance of the report in Excel format with out any latency.
