What is setting need for follow up action

My business requirement is once I enter any rejection code or inspection char description in result recording mail should go for concerned department how we will map this business can any bod guide me.

Hello Lakshmiananda,

If you want to trigger the mail for the rejection code (usage decision) then first maintain a follow up action code (Tcode: OQV1) and attach the function module which will trigger the mail .

Further in selected set (T code: QS51) assign the follow up action to the rejection code for which you want to trigger the mail .

You can ativate QM Notification for defect recorded in Result recording and take hekp of abaper to configer Action bx-->"sned mail optoin"

alternatively you can also explore user exit
