Hi ,
I installed MDM 7.1 SP02 and applied patch SP06.
When i try to connect to Database from MDM Console MDM Servers -> DBMS Settings i am getting "Unable to connect with Database Server " error and i am not able to create a repository from MDM console with this error. Am i missing any configuration ? Please help me to solve the issue.
Thanks in advance ....
Thanks,
Srini K
Have you mounted the repository properly,
MDM COnsole --> DBMS Settings or Configuration --> DBMS what do you see under it?
Also check the logs in this Host Directory

Reagrds,

You'll need to first MDM at the OS level using the below command:
4.Start SAP Service. You may use SAP MMC or sapcontrol command:
sapcontrol -nr <Instance Number> -function StartService <SID>
5.Start MDM Server. You may use SAP MMC or sapcontrol command:
sapcontrol -nr <Instance Number> -function Start
An example for stopping MDM Server and SAP service at /usr/sap/P16/MDS00:
Stop Server: sapcontrol -nr 0 -function Stop
Stop SAP Service: sapcontrol -nr 0 -function StopService P16
Refer to Note: 1499138.
Then use Console to Mount the Repository.
Thanks

Hi Srini,
For MDM 7.1 Repositories, you should be able to connect to the Repository via default UID/PW:
UID: Admin
PW: sapmdm
If this does not work you will need to reset the Admin user password at DB level.
Let us know if default login works first. Hope this helps!
