HRSP Issue -cannot create infotype 210, it requests EIC code May/June 2011

We have just applied the Human Resources Support Pack (HRSP) into our Development System with an aim to move to production soon. In the process of testing, we have noticed a problem with Infotype 210. We were trying to enddate a record, and we cannot, as we get the screen attached here, saying we have to enter the EIC code, which is closed (error message is "Enter applicable EIC status before entering number of qualifying children."). Not sure what is going on, but we don't have a problem in the Quality Assurance Server which does not have the HRSP applied.

We had to change the value of number of children to 00 in debug, to get the end date through. we were just trying to transfer an employee from MA to MN.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks,

Hello Ben,

This is error 5U290. Please check if the field NBQLC (Number of Qualifying Children). This field has type

NUMC2 and its initial value should be 00.

Kind regards,

Felipe

Hi Felipe:

Thanks for the quick response.

Field NBQLC (Number of Qualifying Children) field has type NUMC2 and its initial value is 00 in both our development server and quality assurance server. We are only having the stop error in development server and cannot save the end dating of the record in development which has the HRSP but this is not a problem in QA server. Why would this be the case.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Do you get the same error if you create a new record in IT0210 and enddate it? As you told us when you submitted the query, you needed to change the value of number of children to 00 in debug to save the record. I think you will need to update manually the PA0210 records that have the missing entries for the new field. As you only face it in development system it should not be a really problem to do that.

Regards,

Felipe

What SAP system and HRSP level you're currently in ? Also, what was the value of field NBQLC (I think this is only uses for 'WI' authority) before you force in debug to change to '00' ? I'm just curious where the values comes from as this field doesn't seem to be auto-populated anywhere by SAP.
