Unit of Measure in BPC

Hello Gurus, I have a requirement of managing different unit of measure in a planning application. could you share some ideas on how to deal with this kind of situations?

Thanks All. this this was done by adding a new dimension that manages the unit id.

Hi,

Usually, in SAP BI, when we use a key figure of type amount, it automatically assigns UOM (unit of measure). However, its not the same in BPC. So, we need to have a dimension for that. You can create a user defined dimension for UOM and maintain the necessary members with appropriate properties.

Hi , thanks for replying, I have experience working on SAP BI, there it is easy to keep different UOMs but I found BPC a quite hard for that.

Any other experience doing this in BPC?

I am sorry, but there is no alternative to this. You need to have it as a dimension.
