Is it possible to have an approval level outside sap , if so how can we do it .The approver has no access to SAP .Please explain the process to achieve this requirement
Hello,
The extended notification concept can be used for the users which is not having the SAP access. So the users no need to log into the system to approve from the business workplace but they can approve from their outlook mail also. The transactions are SWNCONFIG , SWNADMIN.
Please find the below link to configure.

Hello,
The question was:
"Is it possible to have an approval level outside sap , if so how can we do it .The approver has no access to SAP "
The answer given (with thanks and points!) was: Extended Notifications.
Could someone explain to me how you can use Extended Notifications if you don't have access to SAP?
Who does the workflow log says approved the workitem, for example?

Hi,
Good to know that the approver does not have any SAP access but if you want to make use of the extended notifications make sure that SAP GUI is installed at the approvers client.

Hello,
Sounds like an auditing and licencing nightmare. How are you going to keep track of who appoved what if they don't have a SAP username?
