Exchange Profile

Hello,

I need to change the passwort of the user which is used to import Software Component versions from SLD into ESR. I changed the password in su01 and in sldapicust. As far as I know I also need to change it in the Exchange Profile to get the import working. But the problem is: I can't find the Exchange profile. I tried the following urls:

http://<host:number>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcxiexprofui/XIProfileApp

=> 500 Internal Server Error

http://<host:port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp

=> 500 Internal Server Error

http://<host:number>/exchangeProfile/

=> 404 Not Found

Also when I go to http://<host:number>/rep/ -> Administration there is no link to the Exchange Profile. "Properties Administration -> Aii Properties" lists the current configuration values in read-only mode. "Properties Administration -> Propery Administration" links to the NWA but the values listed there are incorrect and changes take no effect.

Would be happy if anyone has an idea how to access the Exchange Profile or to change the password in another way.

Regards

Jonas

Can you try the following url:

http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp

If this causes an error, can you check the defaultTrace files to see if there has been any trace info written after the error was thrown

If you dont have PI admin skils,then better to contact Basis team to change the user id password in excchange profile.

this is best practice to follow,else wrong entry in exchange profle might create unnecessary problems.

"Properties Administration -> Aii Properties" lists the current configuration values in read-only mode.

"Properties Administration -> Propery Administration" links to the NWA but the values listed there are incorrect and changes take no effect.

I read in a forum post that it is "normal" that the configuration in the NWA don't have any effect, that's why I thought I need the Exchange Profile instead.

Should I try to make the changes in the NWA anyway and doing a server restart?

Hi Jonas,

You can do that, and u can also try this instead of restart:

1. goto smicm

2. AS Java -> Instance (Local/Global)-> Send Soft Shutdown -> With Restart

If it doesnt work, try server restart.

also try this link for exchange profile

http://<host/ip address>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp

make sure u use the correct port and IP address if host is not known.

Hello Souvik,

I can't do a server restart at the moment because I don't have a user for that. I will try that next week. The soft restart and a "Restart Service" in the Management Console didn't take any effect in connection with the changes in "Propery Configuration".

In all the notes, documentation and forum posts is written that you should use the Exchange Profile. How can it be that it isn't existent in my installation? Is there a possibility to change the exchange profile in another way (e.g. directly in the XML file)? Or to copy the Enchange profile web dynpro from another installation?

Thanks a lot Souvik so far.

Hello,

@Souvik: The changes in "Property Configuration" were not applied after a restart of the system.

@Souvik, Eoin Kierans and chichilin: I already tried all the three links as written in my first post. But none of them exists on the system.
