How toreduce the stock of components and increase the stock of raw material

Dear Experts

We are trying to finalize a process for re-use of rejected shop made components; the idea is take the stock of these rejected components, back to its raw material, so that we can use it to make the same component or any other component being made from that particular raw material.

We do not want to use the following 2 options:-

We do not want to do reversal of production booking as this will also reverse the SMH booked.

We do not want to use mvt. 701 / 702 for this as these mvt. are associated with PI and material audit.

Kindly suggest some other way through which we can reduce the stock of components and increase the stock of raw material, for rejected shop made components, ideally this adjustment should be based on the BOM of that shop made component.

Regards

You didn't give information about the rejected parts.

If you have stock from the header material, and you want to get components as per the BOM, you can use MFBF (reversal).

If you are speaking about rejected components which have no stock, you should think over why don't they have stock. If you scrapped them previosuly e.g. with mvt 551, next time you should only separate them (e.g. post them to blocked stock; MB!B + 344).

It's also an option to use MB1B + 202 or CO order + mvt 262.

You can also use mvt 262 with reference to the original PrdOrd.

Just a few ideas...

You have several option - you should find out the proper one to integrate it into your existing process. It should be discussed also with your FICO consultant, which kind of solution is acceptable from their point of view.

Dear Szommer

Thanks for your attention.

You are very right that we have stock from the header material, and we want to get component (Raw material) as per the BOM. But MFBF reversal will also reverse the SMH booked, which is not suggested as work has been done already to produces header material.

We want to deplete the stock of header material and increase the stock of component as per BOM and UOM of Header material and component may be different.

I think requirement is clear now.

Still it's not clear.

First you say:

But MFBF reversal will also reverse the SMH booked, which is not suggested...

= you don't want to decrease SFG-stock.

(I do not know the meaning of SMH I guess it is your semi finished good (SFG))

Then you write:

We want to deplete the stock of header material...

= you do want to reduce the stock of SFG.

If you want to reduce the SFG and get components, you can use e.g. MFBF, rework production order, internal CO order, MIGO/MB1A + 551/552/201/202 etc.

If you do not want to modify the SFG stock, only the components should be posted to stock, again you can use rework production order, internal CO order, MB1A/MIGO + 202/552, etc.

(of course, component list / header materials of the rework/CO orders may different in different cases)

Or, as I said, you should review your process and move the wrong compoenents to blocked stock (for instance) whilst you have stock form them.

Hi,

You can create new movement type by copying 309 movement type .

Material to material transfer. and assign suitable account to it.

Dear Vipin

Thnkyou very much for your attention.

Material to Material transfer is the first thing comes in mind,

but what will be the effect on MAP of Raw material.

And more over there is diffrence in UOM of Raw material and Component produced out of it.
