I am currently using Crystal Reports XI 2 and have upgraded my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7. I am now having difficulty opening some reports that I have already written on an SQL database. Crystal Reports shuts down without opening the report. I can write a brand new report off of the database without any problems, but I cannot open an existing report that was written when I was using Windows XP as my operating system. Does anyone have a solution?
Hi,
This is only the beginning of many other issues you will encounter.
CR XI R2 do not support Windows 7, even with SP5 patch.

The product was never tested with Win 7.
If you want to use Crystal Report on Windows 7, you will need to upgrade to CR 2008 with SP2.

Actually, CR XI R2 SP 6 is supported on Windows 7.
Download all and install before running CR and it should work for you:
