Combine customer accounts to print on one statement

Hello all,

I have a scenario where I might have the same customer created in two different account groups, with two different customer numbers., also possibly in two different company codes.

What would be the best method to use to combine these two customers in order for them to receive only one account statment?

I have considered using corporate group field, but that is not a selection on F.27 for printing statements.

Also considered using the fiscal address field to group the customers(similiar to how this works in AP for 1099's) but again that is not a selection.

Also considered using worklists, but again not a choice.

Best choice would be if the customers,even though in different company codes, had the same account number. Then the account number could be used to combine the two accounts. Yes or no?

Any help or guidiance would be greatly appreciated.
