Could you please tell me if SAP Loans Mgt is part of Treasury or is that an Industry Sol.?

Hi,

the Loans Module is not Part of Treasury, it is a Banking Solution.

In terms of licencing it is a little bit different: for Insurance Companies (where Treasury is called FAM - Financial Asset Management, consisting of IMA (Investment Management => SAP Transaction Manager & Loans) and ICO (Investment Controlling => SAP Analyzers)) it is part of FAM.

Thanks for your reply, my client is a manufacturing company. They usually give and take loans for the purpose of raising funds. My next quest is how do we accommodate this request in SAP. They have not bought SAP Banking in current system!

Hi Gaurav,

...in this case I would rather go for using the Money Market modul within SAP Treasury. Here you have a choice of:

- PCat 510 Fixed Term Deposit

- PCat 520 Deposit at Notice

- PCat 530 CP

- PCat 540 Cash Flow Transaction

- PCat 550 Interest Rate Instrument

- PCat 560 Facility
