IPC Server in SAP CRM

Hi,

I am facing a big issue in Understanding the pricing and especially IPC.What is IPC.Where do I need to find it.Is it another server from CRM or is it accessible in CRM only?

How do we configure the IPC so that we can start using it.When I am making a sales order,it is showing no connection could be made to IPC?

Please provide the answers as I have a lot of orders to create all with different pricing conditions.

Hi Puneet,

starting from CRM release 5.0 the IPC was migrated to the virtual machine container technology and thus is no longer a stand-alone server like in CRM 4.0. The SAP note 844817 might be a good starting point for you for further details. In addition, you might find the related notes of this note helpful.

If you need to implement custom user exits like requirements or condition value formulas I would recommend to check SAP note 809820 as well.
