Need help on XI -> r/3 - > XI

hi , i have one scenario on R/3 and XI3.0 interface..

we are using R/3 - 4.7 with WAS 6.20 , XI3.0 with SP 16 .

my requirement data flows :: XI3.0 -> R/3( some logic and add some other data added here)-> XI3.0 .

please suggest me which adapter is good for this scenario and please help on this and any addiotanl info .

What version are your R/3's System?

From your saying what I understand is you are getting data to XI and sending to R/3. You are adding some logic in R/3 and sending it once again to XI. But here you have not specified from where XI is getting data.

If you are getting from R/3 you can use Idoc or RFC or Proxy (depending upon your requirement) and send data to XI. If you are getting from external sources then you can use File adapter.

initially i am getting data to XI through file adapter from my partner system, from there my scenario is XI-> R/3- > XI

plz give me some additional info , i have an idea about file and rfc and idoc adapters and what r the steps i have to follow , if its proxy , how will i handle
