difference between migration & integration

I have a little bit confusion, What is the difference between DATA MIGRATION AND DATA INTEGRATION. Please send a reply as soon as possible.

Hi,

In simpler terms,

Data Integration is to integrate data from homogeneous or heterogenious environments depend on the requirement/integration tool etc.

Data Migration means Migrating data from one system to another system in the same environment or in the different environment. To data migration we can use Integration Tools like XI or any other methods .

For e.g when you are using XI to integrate 2 systems or implementing new SAP system etc. SO initially you need to upload master data etc. Then usually data is migrated from old , system into the new system
