Export to Excel from Portal- using MDM serch result iView

Dear All

I have been testing export to Excel funkction on Rearch result iView. I am a bit confused because it works fine for MDM Search Hierarchies it export the data to Excel as I assume it is supposed to. However when I have MDM Result Set iView it is failing all the time. I tested for few repositories and different MDM Result Set iViews.

I got information in Excel every single tiume:" This Web query returned no data. To change the query, click OK, click the arrow on the name box in the forumula bar, click the name of the external data range for the Web query, right-click the selection, and then click Edit Query."

I tried to go into query and mark some records, that same result.

Can you please help to solve it?

I can see that I can right click and have option "Export to Excel" but "standard" users do not have that option. Do you know why? I was wondering if that is because of permissions.

ok, so now u get the export options!

check if u are trying to do this on the SLAVE repository in the console.

the slave is a read-only repo and doesnt allow any data export.

this should be done in the master repo instead !

We do not use Slave repositories.

then theres no extra stuff that needs to be done to export to excel.

seems to be a bug then in the particular iView content version u are using ..

i prefer raising a SAP OSS then with the version details . - sorry

Thank you for help. I will "play a bit" to check if there is any chance to fix it.

yes - constraints could be set at role level (export to excel / text / etc) functionality

make sure the "standard" user roles have this constraint removed - check export to excel for them

this should work.
