SAP J2ee is stopped

Dear Experts,

I have a BI EHP2 system installed with AS Java EHP2, running on SUSE x86_64. Currently i have an issue with the j2ee engine which is stopped. I have enlarged heap memory using configtool, but the problem still the same.

After restarting the server, j2ee is also started for a couple of minutes (around 10-15 minutes), then the java server is stopped again.

Please advise how to fix the problem.

Hi,

It looks like you have not installed license on Java part of your system that's it is going down after 10-15 mins. Please check.

If this is not the case then please paste error log from default trace.

Yes, this should be a license problem. Please check the installed licenses.

I firstly guessed, this is a license issue but unfortunately not, the license has already been applied.

Can you tell me which trace file and the file location that give precious info to fix it?

Hi Rudi,

You can check the log in /usr/sap/sid/D*/j2ee/server0/log check the default.trace file.

What kind of license is applied? I am not sure, but I think that you can apply different licenses and it should be the correct type.

What's the message in your default trace?

The error should be found in these two files:

/usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/work/ -/std_server0.out

-/dev_jcontrol.

Yes, you're right, this is a license issue, the following message gives clear info:

as I told you. I think you installed an invalid license. Try to install the right one and it will work...
