Hi,

I have a File -> XI -> BW scenario.

XI needs to pick the file once a day and load to the BW.

My customer would like to know at the end of the day if the file was pick or not.

If i don't have a file at the directory how can i alert him?

Hi,

Some of the Options ~

1) Go for Delete option in the File Sender Adapter. And Archive option. If file is picked up, you will not have this file in the source directory and it is moved into Archive folder. This is manual check

2) You can send an email once the file is picked up by the File Adapter. Sending a mail from XI. creating a new message interface and sending the mail/or writing into a File.

3) Best option is Configuring Alerts for the Adapter Errors. Wheneever you get any error in the Adapters, it will trigger an alert. ( SP14 onwards)
