Issue with Bex Analyzer

Hi all,

I have got a situation here.

I have a query in 3.5 where in i have a restriction for a charateristic account assignment. I have defaulted it to two values in the free charateristics section in the Query designer. I have run my report in the Bex Analyzer, and i am trying to add another account assignment grp value, but it doesn't allow me to. Am i missing something here , or it is conceptually not possible to add another value dynamically, since i have already restricted it with two values in the default value section. I had thought if i had restricted it in the filter section, that shud be a proper reason for me not seeing all values in Bex Analyzer.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you apply your restrictions in the same place... two hard restrictions and one variable restriction, your query should return all three possible sets of data.

If you are attempting to use a filter cell instead of a new variable in the restriction, you will not be successful.

Hi Charlie,

I know that approach works in 7.0, but i am unable to do that in Bex 3.5. Any suggestions ?
