C++ or Java?

Hello,

I'm a Computer Science major and my college gives us the option to chose between JAVA and C++ for our first programming class. A career in SAP is my ultimate goal using my skills acquired from school. My question is what programming language is mostly used in SAP (ABAP)?

Regards

I am not a technical guy but I can indicate that till 4.7, C+ is enough but for ECC6, you should know JAVA also for ABAP coding.

thanks

Hi,

in ABAP and SAP we don´t use C, C++ nor C#. You might write an external, C-based programme that reads data from SAP per RFC, but within SAP it has no use.

JAVA can be used within or outside SAP. There´s a technology named Webdynpro for Java for creating web-based applications and as the name indicates, you programm with Java.
