Prorata - Pricing in sales and purchase

Hi,

My Scenario is: Need to make replacement of items to customers in warranty period on a Prorata price, like 50% discount for 2 year old items, 60% for 3 year etc.. Same way from suppliers also. if am making such purchases to my general warhouse my inventory value affects....... is there any solution to map this scenario

Hello nobin stanly,

Discount never matter on Materials Cost ,because when you make delivery document with 50% then item cost remain same. but when we make A/P invoice then it will deduct 50% Amount from Doctotal.

So you can discusse with your client.

Hi,

No matter what you do, your inventory value will be affected. If you want to minimize the affect, you may try to use ,moving average.
