Volume not transferred to TO

Hi,

We want a new transfer order split on volume. I have added the volume on the material master, basic data 1. After creation the volume is not added to the transfer order.

For a test I added also the weight to the material master, that is copied to the transfer order.

Does some know what the problem is that the volume is not copied to the transfer order?

Thanks,

Rene

This is because there is no default value in the Warehouse for Volume UOM.

Go to the SPRO - Logistics Execution - Warehouse Management - Master Data - Define Control Parameters for Warehouse Number. Then select the warehouse you are using. Then enter a UOM in the Volume Unit.

Now the transfer orders you create will have the volume from the material master. But the UOM will be the warehouse UOM. If you have a different volume UOM in the material, then it will convert based on the conversion specified in the UOM. But the transfer orders will show the Warehouse UOM as UOM which you created in the Config and volume as the converted actual volume from the material master.

You might need some user exit to change the UOM in the transfer order.

Hope it helps.

Volume is not taken from the WM view 1, instead from the base unit of measure if differen u/m are used.

In WM view 1 of the material master, note the WM unit of measure.

Go to additional data-> Unit of measure> Check out the volume maintained against the WM u/m.

Change the volume here and create the TO again.

You can see the volume updated from here in TO.
