Unable to Edit File Path Field in DMS when Checking In Documents

Hi, any help would be appreciated. We recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 and now we cannot edit the file path in DMS. If you press the delete key or back space key it automatically removes the entire path whereas previously we could delete the file name from the end of the path to create the link to the folder instead of the document.

Any advice would be appreciated.

This is what happens

Click the Browse button in Path field (cProjects > Documents Tab "check object in".

Locate and select the required document (we use Novell).

Path field is then populated with entire address eg.
Dpws\.PWS-HO3-NSRV_HO3DATA0.Services.McKell.DPWS\PMG\BusRes\PDD\Expense_Projects\ERP Upgrade Project\PPM requirements.pdf

Go to the end of the address in the Path field and remove the document name ie. \PPM requirements.pdf (we do this to create the link to the folder the document is in, not the actual folder).

This is where the problem is, in IE6 we could edit the path using delete or backspace, now in IE8 as soon as you press the delete or backspace key the entire address is removed from the Path field.

I'm not quite sure about the related between the Internet Explorer update and the issue with the filepath?

Could you please provide us a step-by-step description and more information about where this issue happens.
