Depreciation Area Definition

Hi dear experts,

I would like to ask you a help.

Scenario:

I'm creating a new Depreciaiton Area and then preparing a LSMW for inventory updating. This Depreciation Area will be used as fiscal area for tax calculation, and must have Planned useful life in years lower than book depreciation area.

01 Book deprec....YSTC.....5.....0.....01.01.2010

02 Fiscal.............YSTC.....3.....0.....01.01.2010

Errors after customizing definitions:

u2022 Field closed for change: Field USELIFE ANLB-NDJAR (2) of the new depreciation area in AS91. I cannot load it without status 'change'.

u2022 How display the Depreciation posted / planned list in tab values posted by AW01N? This area doesn't post, but I must display planned depreciation list.

I will apreciate any inputs

Dear DA,

Please check configuration in transaction OABD and deselect identical check box for the area for which you need to input diffent depreciation terms.

Could someone guide me to clear my last one issue?

u2022 Field closed for change: Field USELIFE ANLB-NDJAR (2) of the new depreciation area in AS91. I cannot load it without status 'change'.

u2022 How display the Depreciation posted / planned list in tab values posted by AW01N? This area doesn't post, but I must display planned depreciation list.

AW01N--->Comparisons tab

Here you select the depreciation area

and the top of the screen, you can give the range of fiscal years.

I'd like display in posted values tab the Depreciation posted / planned list.

I've heard that it is not possible since regards a New Depreciation Area without AFAB run yet and no postings defined. But I belive this statement is wrong because the list displays only planned depreciation.

Please guide!

Hi,

Under Depreciation posted / planned tab you can see planned and posted depreciation.

E.g. You have posted depreciation only for Jan-2011

Now if you check this tab Status is posted only for January and remaining periods also shows the values but Planned status.

Please remember, select the repective depreciation area(Left side of the screen) before you check the figures.

I've run depreciation until period 6. Tab Posted value displays no list for my new area 02. I only have message: There is no depreciation, otherwise when I check Depr Area 01 I have all posted values and planned values as you said.

Is there any definition to set this function for new an area? My Book Depreciation Hard Currency it's okay. The new one aren't like that.

Then this area doen't generate any postings this is because you have selected 0(Area does not post) to this depreciation area.

please check the configuration through the below path

Asset accounting->Integration with the GL->Define how depreciation area post to GL

I got 3 areas: 01, 02 (new) and 40.

My Area 40 - Hard Currency - is also selected '0' and displays Planned Depreciation List. My intention is define a Management Area without accounting postings.

Give 01 for Val ad field and activate identical field.

Yes. My OABC is like this way:

Area 01 Deprec Contábil ......... 00 ... " "

Area 02 Depreciação Fiscal .... 01 ... "X"

Area 40 Deprec Moeda Forte .. 01 ... "X"

than you can change useful life.

Do do that you have define AO90 for depreciation accounts.
