Hi experts ,
I have a doubt how many types of applications available? What is the difference between a Non-reporting & a Reporting application?
And queries like : what options are available for cube to cube data load ?
what is the diff between Full Optimization and Lite optimization?
Whats the max number of Dimensions we have to cteate for a BPC application? What is the max limit we have ?
Whats the drawback in using all of these?

Hi,
There are total 6 types of applications. 3 of them are reporting type and the rest 3 are non reporting type.
The main difference is that the reporting type of applications are used for the main objective of your business, like planning or consolidation. Whereas the non reporting type of applications hold the data which might support your planning or consolidation process. You cannot assign work status to the non reporting type of applications. I guess you are referring to application to application data transfer. For this, you can use destination_app statement in your script logic or you can make use of the DM packages.
Hope this helps.
