Hi there.

Thanks for all the helpful info, checked out all the links.

Most importently [this|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap%28bd1lbizjptawmq==%29/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333533343337333933363331%7D.do] link.

But i see nothing mentioning a version/fix for CRVS2008.

I just have the CR that comes with VS2008, with dll's having version 10.5.*

Is there a version or update for CRVS2008 that fixed the problem?

Long story short, i don't have the product "Crystal Reports 2008" that now even has sp up to sp3.

I figger that i should not try and install a service pack for it, as dll's will now change to 12.*.

Or should I? And upgrade all my dependencies and is it still free.

Thanks

Can you simply change from Calibri to some other font?

Hi

I cannot change the font.

It's too wide spread in a lot of reports.

Calibri is also kind of a standard font for the reports, changing it would be the last option.

I have tried. usp10.dll (v 1.420.2600.5969)

Which I found from searching my drive, but that does not work, nor does a 1.6* from windows.

Just as there seem to be solutions for

CR XI R2

CR 2008

CRVS2010

All with service packs or hot fixes.

I'd like to know if one exists for CRVS2008.

Currently the latest thing that seems to be available is CR VS 2008 SP1, from year 2008, but this contains the bug.

I do not mind upgrading dll versions as long as its an upgrade like service packs.

Or that v10.5 has been replaced by a new CRVS2008 (v.12.*) ,

But that does not seem to be the case for CRVS2008.

If CR2008 was not a licensed app but like CRVS2008 came free for VS, I would move to it.

Thanks

I assume you copied it into the 2.8 folder correct? Use [Modules |https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip]to verify it is loading the correct one.

If it is loading the right one then no other options but to upgrade. CR for VS is basic and just the one patch is available an no others will be done.

If upgrading to VS 2010 ( all versions except Express which doesn't support plug-ins ) is an option then you can get the free CR for VS 2010 plug-in and have full functionality. Plus a few more features and functionality.

See this page to download and get updates: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/crystalreports-dotnet

Thank you

Thanks for all the help Don.

I guess i got my answer, that CR for VS 2008 is no longer supported.

I had used "modules" and "processexplorer", the dll's is picked up in the right place.

I.E

c:\program files\business objects\common\2.8\bin\usp10.dll

But CR for VS 2008 SP1 has v1.0626.6000.16386 (vista_rtm.061101-2205) in there.

i had also copied over a version v1.0420.2600.5969 that i had found on my computer, that did not work either.

I guess the only thing to do as you said is to upgrade, either to "CR for VS 2010" or "Crystal Reports 2008"

As these are still being supported.

Thanks for all the help

Hello,

The solution is to use USP10.dll version 1.4. How you get that version I'm not sure where you can get it from. I had it on my desktop for sending out but I've upgraded since then and I no longer have it saved locally.

CR 10.x had a specific requirement on that version of the dll.

Or as Ido suggested don't use that font.

Thank you

Don
