Increasing tablespace for RSBMONMESS - BW 7.01

Hello

We have BW 7.01.

The following SAP docu shows that table RSBMONMESS is not archivable.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/42/ead8d7b55e1bd2e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

The documentation for BW 7.3 says that you can archive RSBMONMESS:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/49/9500f79c1d311fe10000000a421938/content.htm

Is there any way to reduce the tablespace on this table? I didn't find any notes or other advises from SAP.

Thanks for your help!

Have look at following note:

706478 - Preventing Basis tables from increasing considerably

you can use the archiving object BWREQARCH to archive old entries from these tables

Thanks

But this very good note does not include table RSBMONMESS as object which can be used for archiving.

RSMONMESS is listed, but not RSBMONMESS.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What can I do when this table RSBMONMESS increases rapidly, and we have only BW 7.01 and not 7.2?

Are there any means to reduce the tablespace?

actually we're struggling with the same issue for the table RSBMNODES.

we plan to go to 7.2 in the more or less near future, but are looking for a temporary solution. i'll keep you posted on any ideas we test.

Hi,

>are looking for a temporary solution

when it is a big problem? write your own archiving.

=> discuss with your bw consultings/bw adminstrators.

=> write a abap

- select the logid do you don't need anymore.

- write this data in a file of the application server

- delete it from the database table.

- write to reload the data -> delete the file.

- then in 7.2 you can use the standard archiving function (reload the data back to the database.).
