*Transported the DC to QA system through NWDI (CMS) had encountered no issues in Assembly or transport. Had a old NWDI system were sfwmd.com/vc~sfwmd_change_control_impl was transported through a old track. Recreated the DC (Model) with 'sfwd/sfwd_change_control_form_impl' while previewing the page in QA portal this is the following error that we are encountering.*

I think the cause of this problem is when a model is exported to desktop for example DC "project_form" from SC "sap.com-dc" and then reimported to local repository and changed the name of the DC to "project_new" and deployed to portal and checked it into SC and transported to QA. The DC .def file is still having the old source code which points to "project_form". Since the original DC has never been transported to QA and the copy with a changed DC is transported it is still looking for the original model that was never deployed in QA. Hence we get the Deployable file missing error. Transporting the original DC to QA or making sure the DC does not have any traces to the original DC will fix the issue. You will not see this issue in Dev since both models are deployed correctly.

Hi,

We got the issue in only when working with DEV using source control repository (NWDI). Some of the points you noted are correct like .def file of new model in dtr is looking for reference of old one and also its only when you export model to local and import again even with different name.

We are facing it even if we make sure that name doesnt exist.

SAP has agreed it as a bug and they are working on this... we are expecting a fix by this weekend.

One possible solution to this issue is when you export a model from source control repository to desktop. Open the zip file on your desktop and you will find some more zipfiles under the "Manifest.xml" file. Open one of those zipfiles and you will find a "gen" folder which will have the dependencies file that still points to the old DC name. Delete all the "gen" folders from the zipfiles and then import the file into your local repository remane your DC and deploy and add the model to source control and check in the model to NWDI. This will create a new "gen" folder with necessary files that will point to the correct model. This should solve the issue as it will create a new "gen" file at checkin which will eliminate the issue. The "gen" file should not be exported from source control (I think it is a potential bug in VC and has to be fixed)

It seems you are working on VC using NWDS... as told by Viswadeep you can solve issue in that way if you use NWDS. think both of you from SFW.
