Hi,
We have a Corporate server installed centrally and MII at each 3 sites.Should there be a single development server for all sites, or a separate development environment for each site?
If we can use a single development server for all sites (from an MII perspective), how do we maintain the content of different sites and how about QA Environment. Can someone tell me what is the best practise.
Thanks,
Mukul
Hi Mukul,
What version of MII do you have installed? And are the applications for the individual sites going to be similar or are they totally different based on type of production or products?
Regards,
Mike

Hi Mukul,
Local or central development is less problematic than making sure the development applications are both segregated and reusing common objects. Common objects would include images, css, utility javascript, common html start pages or corporate webpages, some common query templates and probably transactions as well.
Scope it out ahead of time and you will save yourself a lot of headaches. If you use common naming conventions across plants, it will also make maintenance (possibly central) simpler overall.
There is a MII Best Practices document somewhere in the wiki. Please review it for more specific information.
Regards,
Mike
