Dear All,
One entry wrongly posted to Dummy profit center when we are doing 261 movement i.e issue to production order.
This entry is of 6 month back so we cant reverse the document also.
Is there any other option for correction.
i tried to pass the reverse entry by FB50 but it is not happening.
Wrong Entry
Consumption Ac Dr Dummy PC
To inventor Ac Cr 1000 PC ( Correct PC)
Now when i try to post the reverse entry by FB50 i.e.
inventor Ac Dr 1000 PC ( Correct PC)
To Consumption Ac Cr Dummy PC
System automatically set Dummy PC in the line item of inventory.
Kindly suggest.
Shayam
Hello
You can re post the dummy profit center to actual profit center, it is normal practice if system not able to find out the profit center it will default post to dummy profit cente and later repost to the desired profit center
you can explain the same to auditors

Thanks for reply,
We cant post the transfer entry from Dummy PC to actual PC. As system pick dummy PC only when system not able to find any Profit Center.
So if i try to post the transfer entry from Dummy to actual PC system automatically change the dummy PC to the actual PC which is mention in other line. As SYSTEM FIND THE PC IN A DOCUMENT.
Hence that's not possible.

Murli Thanks for Reply,
As i told earlier that this posting is done from PP movt 261 so i cant reverse the document from FI side and this order is of 6 months back so cant do from reversal of order.
i have to pass the entry
Wrong Entry is
Consumption of RM Ac Dr 100 Dummy PC
To Inventor A/c 100 1240 PC (Correct one)
Adjustment entry need to pass
Consumption of RM Ac Dr 1000 1240 PC (Correct one)
To Consumption of RM Ac Cr 1000 Dummy PC
so by doing this i will able to knockoff the value in Dummy PC and value come in 1240 PC .

Shayam

Hi,
'Wrong Entry is
Consumption of RM Ac Dr 100 Dummy PC
To Inventor A/c 100 1240 PC (Correct one)
Adjustment entry need to pass
Consumption of RM Ac Dr 1000 1240 PC (Correct one)
To Consumption of RM Ac Cr 1000 Dummy PC'
In this case in Balance for both PCs would be 0.
It's better to reverse wrong doc in current period, and post with right PC(eg using OKB9)
Hi,
I also think in a same fashion but if you try to post from f-02
Consumption Ac Cr Dummy PC
Consumption Ac Dr Correct PC
system automatically change the dummy pc to correct PC. in first line
i also try by defaulting PC in FAGL3KEH but not working.
SAP also says that if system find any PC in any line item then it will change any dummy PC to that PC

Hello
Dont go for F-02,FI posting is not required for this case, please try to post profit center internal posting in 1KEL
Hope this will resolve the problem
Thanks

Instead of posting from FI, simply you can repost the profit center balances.
Please check KB61
Here you enter account document number and execute, change the PC in Consumption line item.
After you check the balances in Controlling Dummy profit center will not show anything.

Hi, in terms of solutions do I agree with the others - the difference has to be reposted!
What causes my contibute are the words regarding your auditor!
Sometimes is it hardcoded in the systems logistics processes to use the dummy profit centre and during this to bypass the blocking functionality on the profit centre - for instance during retroactive billing in SD!
There is a concept behind the use of FI for legal reporting and PCA for business reporting - you auditor should be aware of this - since all the (large) worldwide auditfirms approved this procceses around year 1998 ...
