Can we integrate Standalone DP (APO) with ECC (R/3)?

I want to know if we can connect "standalone APO DP" with R/3 through CIF (Core Interface)? If a client which has R/3 has only DP part of APO and not SNP or others; can one integrate it with R/3 through CIF? If no, then how are the two integrated?

Hi

DP has limited integration with ECC through the CIF. Most DP Integration with ECC is done through BI. The only integration through the CIF for DP is for products/ locations and that too is mandatory only if you want to transfer DP forecasts to ECC as PIR's or if you are using Characteristic Based Forecasting.

Hi,

The material master data can be integrated through the CIF to APO.

For sales/demand you can bring the data from ECC to a BW cube and then load to livecache.

For other master data you can also bring the data from ECC to BW Objects.

At the end of the forecasting process you can release the forecast over the CIF into ECC where it will appear as independant requirements.
