Dear all,

I have a general question related to PI work after acquisition take place.

Say for Ex: we are working for XYZ client and implemented SAP and integrated SAP system with their legacy systems.

Now it is Acquired by ABC company and this also implemented SAP long back.

We have to involve in the integration part between ABC and XYZ companies.

My question is : Generally in these type of integration situations, what kind of work PI will get, since both of them have implemented SAP on their landscapes.

Please share your experience and thoughts...

Regards

Bhavana,

Whenever the acquisition happens, the IT team of the buying company will do a thorough analysis of the system landscape of the acquired company which typically includes:

1. Understand the business process of the acquired company and try to map/merge that with the parent company. Usually this phase includes catering to as many business processes as possible from the original SAP (ERP) system through Roll outs.

2. Understand the integration scenario and needs of the acquired company.

3. They will try to phase out thier existing legacy system and build interfaces with the critical ones.

In this case our existing Production interfaces will be continued or may go away??

Integration will not change the business process, but tailor them up
