JSPM Error when applying SPS08 on SAP NetWeaver2004s

Hello,

we are applying Java Support Package Stack 08 from source release 06, and we have this error:

Error: An error occured while storing the cluster instances.

Error: There is no control instance running in the cluster returned by MessageServer [MS host: <server>; MS port: 3900].

We are really confused, and after watching logs, I am not able to solve the problem.

HI Alex,

Either the message server settings provided to SDM are wrong, or if you are running in a High Availability environment, the Secure Store entries for the engine host are incorrect. To fix the message server settings apply note 780670.

Does anybody know how to solve it? I also encountered the same problem while trying to add usage type NWDI.

What are your source and target SP levels?

Do you follow the Stack Guide?

At which point do you encounter this error?

Are the message server host and port referenced in the error mesage correct?

Correct values are given in DEFAULT.PFL profile.
