I have a similar problem as described.

BO also on RedHat Linux, BO clients on Windows XP, Oracle 10.2 database on separate server, ..

My BO clients (Universe Designer, Import Wizard,...) were running fine until today morning.

Then I installed Crystal Reports on same Client machine.

Crystal Reports is running. I can access the repository, add or modify reports, run the reports ...

BUT I cannot work any longer with the Universe Designer.

When trying to edit the connection I get

Unable to edit the CA_Clarity connection: CS: DBDriver failed to load : C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CommonReporting3\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (Die angegebene Prozedur wurde nicht gefunden.

) netrwork layer is not available (DAC0002)

What does the mentioned document 1578731 mean for me now?

Thanks for your help.

Uwe

Hello,

thanks for your reply.

Oracle 32 bit client ist installed. Otherwise I would not have been able to work with Universe Designer BEFORE the installation of Crystal Reports 2008.

Bye

Have you checked that the dll exists in the expected directory?

If it doesn't, then just put a new copy of it there.
