Deleting not allowed for split items in a delivery

Hi All,

Deletion of one of the batch split item is not being allowed in delivery via VL02N. When tried to delete the item, we get the following message:

"Delivery already contained in a shipment"

Please help us understand what is the reason and how to overcome the same.
