Hi i tried to connect SAP PIto ECC using TCODE RZ70. I done the following things

Technical System

1. SAP R/3

Following is the procedure defined technical system for SAP R/3.

i. In RZ70 in ECC

ii. Entered the Host and Service with respect to the PI system

iii. Click Execute to transport the technical system to the PI system.

iv. The screen indicated the transport as "SLD DS Start program".

its shown as finally "1:cmperp_ECC event controlled job already exists, scheduling not neccessary."

V. In SLDCHECK it gives an error

" Summary : Connection to SLD does not work

=> check SLD function and Configurations"

Please help me what is this error how i can get rid of it and how to connect to PI system.

Solution will be highly appriciated.

Check with Basis whether they configured SLDAPICUST as well.

1) Ask the Basis to confirm if the post-installation steps are performed on the PI server

2) Check if the RFC destinations SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC are working properly.

3) Follow the SAP Note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1143810 or you can also check in the SAP PI Troubleshooting guide.
