By default system checks infoupdate indicator

If you want to uncheck then change the default values for purchasing are defined at SPRO-> MM -> Purchasing - >Environment data -> Default values for Buyers.

There you define the default values under 2 digit code.

Change Info record update indicator for PO to blank and assign this to user

For an user the default code is to be assigned under user settings own data. System -> user profile -> own data and under parameters tab add a new parameter ID "EVO" and the code(01 or 02).

This is the place where the default values are linked to the PO and the user ID.

if you are refering contract while creating PO, then Infoupdate indicator gets copied from Conract

That means you must assign the EVO parameter to userprofile always with blank values.Otherwise, system will automatically tick the info update indicator.Am I right?

But without EVO parameter is this possible to un tick the info update indicator?

Yes you are right. It is not possible to uncheck Info update without setting EVO parameter with blank info update indicator.

Hope this is helpful

What will be the reason if user has assigned with blank EVO parameter & still the indicator is getting ticked in PO?

Hi follow this path

Fallow the path SPRO-->MM>PURCHASING>ENVIRONMENT DATA--> DEFAULT VALUES FOR BUYRES---> SETTINGS FOR DEFAULT.

You will find indicator option-->info record update-->po.

You will find multiple option to set info record update indocator in PO

'Info record" Check indicator will update the Price in Purchase info record which is not a plant specfic.Suppose you areCreating a PO first time for given, material,Vendor,Purchase Org,and Plant. As info record will

get generated automatically once PO is done.As this info Record is not plant specfic. Now suppose you are creating

another purchase info record with same materialplantvendorpurchase Org. System will propose you Price for this materialplantvendorpurchase Org Combination from Info record, which was created before,Now say propose price is 10.00INR and you have changed this to 15.00INR. If 'Info record" Check is Selected in Purchase Info Record it will overwrite 10.00INR to 15.00 INR,if PO is created again for same Vendorplantmaterial combination, it will show you 15.00INR. if you have changed price from 15.00INR to 20.00INR and "Info Update" is unchecked , it will not overwrite 15.00 to 20.00INR. so

next time while raising PO for same vendormaterialplant combination it will propose you 15.00INR instead of 20.00INR as we have unchecked "Info Update" Check Box in Purchase Order. I think it should get clear with you now.

Hi

Regarding EVO Check sap note;-202173,it may helpful to you

this is from sap notes

The system does not use the default value for the InfoUpdate indicator in the purchase order of the EVO parameter. Customizing in transaction OMFI

Consider the following two scenarios:

There is an info record in the system.

The system looks in table T160V (that is, Customizing in transaction OMFI with user parameter EVO).

1. There is an entry with InfoUpdate indicator 'A':

If an info record exists at plant level, the system overwrites this with the value 'B'.

If no info record exists at plant level, the system proposes the value ' C' by default.

2. There is an entry with a 'blank' InfoUpdate indicator or with the value 'B' or 'C':

The system always transfers Customizing from OMFI.

3. There is no entry (' ... ') and no user parameter is assigned:

The system sets the InfoUpdate indicator with the same logic as for the InfoUpdate indicator 'A'.

There is no info record in your system:

The default value for the info update indicator is determined by Customizing.

1. There is no entry (' ... ') and no user parameter is assigned:

The system sets the InfoUpdate indicator to 'A'.

General logic (independent of the info record):

1. There is a 'blank' entry and no user parameter is assigned:

The settings that are stored for the 'blank' entry are used.

You can choose to make 'blank' the default setting of the InfoUpdate indicator for all users. You can do this by maintaining the InfoUpdate indicator entry as 'blank' for the 'blank' entry in Customizing.

2. The InfoUpdate indicator is 'blank', 'A' ' B ' or 'C' and the condition maintenance for the plant is activated:

If only plant-specific conditions are allowed, the system overwrites the value with 'B'.

If no plant-specific conditions are allowed, the system overwrites the value with 'C'.
