URL links to EasyDMS from a Cell Phone / Blackberry

Hello

We are sending URL links from EasyDMS.

And many our our users are reading the e-mails on a Cell Phone / Blackberry.

Is it possible to open the URL from a Cell Phone / Blackberry?

Maybe not since probably then EasyDMS has to be installed on the Cell phone / Blackberry?

Maybe it is possible to have an URL to Web Documents instead?

Best regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

Since the users intend to access the URL's delivered in their mailbox and typically URL originals aren't checked in any storage repository (since they lead to a site/are stored on some Webserver); the users should be able to access these URL's with the basic pre-requisite being access to internet via their communication tool(Cell phone/Blackberry).

Believe this is what you are looking at,else please rephrase your scenario.

Hi

Actually the URL is a link that starts EasyDMS software and you can then open documents / files.

I have now been informed by SAP that this is not supported on mobile devices yet, but that they are working with solutions for DMS on the Mobil now.

Best regards

Ok.Alternatively,if you have cFolders solution setup in your environment, then a possible workaround could be that you export all the necessary documents to cFolders from SAP DMS,send out notifications in cFolders and then, the users can access cFolders over internet from their devices to manage the documents.

As cFolders is typically set outside a company's firewall and is web-based,it may come close to addressing your requirements.
