Deploy and Change tab does not appear in NWA

I am at the 'Deploy and Change' phase of BW installation where I am to run the configuration wizard. I am able to log in to the NWA, but the only two tabs I get are 'System Management' and 'Analysis'. There should also be a 'Deploy and Change' tab, but it's missing. Is my user missing some authorization that would cause this tab to disappear?

Yes It looks like you don't have authorization.

Try J2EE_Admin instead.

Sorry I wasn't clear before with my user. I am using the J2EE_Admin user, but it is not working. Do you know what authorization I should check for?

Hello Matt,

Kindly create a new user with SAP_J2ee_admin role and try.

I think it should work. Generally J2EE admin is the higher authorization on Java componnets.

If you have ABAP associated with your system just check once whether this above mention role is properly generated.

I can't get the J2EE_admin user to show the tab, so I just enabled sap* and that user is working fine. Thanks. I would still be interested to know what authorization is needed for the tab to appear for this user.

We need to use nwaadmin to run the NWA features, j2ee_admin wont helpl.
