File system /export/usr/sap/trans 97%

Dear Friends,

We have implemented SP 17 on our ECC production server.

After completely iplementation of SP, file system /export/usr/sap/trans has used space 97%.

We have three instances of ECC CI, APP1(DI) and APP3(DI). which is showing file system /usr/sap/trans 97% used on both DI.

How can be clear unwanted files from these file systems.

Regards

maybe you have SAR files in /usr/sap/trans.

delete them.

I wouldn't advice you to delete the files from /usr/sap/trans as you need those files to setup N+1 landscapes and you might want to move them to TAPE or Archive them.

Hi,

there are sereral possibilities to do so.

You can have a look at

tp clearold

tp can delete old requests logs and cofiles automaticaly.

Another option we use is to archive the log and datafiles older 1 year.

the logs under /log can be compressed pretty good (tar + gzip & bzip2). And when using the `find` command you can find files not accessed for a specified time pretty easy.

Just move them to a netshare.

Same is for datafiles in /data that are from *.SAP

kind regards

Peter

Check the directory /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in. It will be holding the .PAT & .ATT files. Just remove them and it will be free. You should also check Note: 16513: File System Full What do i do ?
