SAPClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

Hi, all,

I am practise the scenario posted here.

/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30

In this excerse, I used File FTP as sender which works fine,

JDBC adapter as receiver. But I got an error says"

: Error: Accessing database connection 'jdbc:oracle:thin:@databaseURL:1521:databaseName' failed: DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:oracle:thin:@databaseURL:1521:databaseName': SAPClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

our basis says the JDBC driver has already installed and deployed on our XI server.

Is there anyone can help me this out?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Marea,

You'll need to add the driver based on the instructions in the guide. The process for PI 7.0 is the same, although I'm not sure if the drivertool will work for PI 7.0. If it doesn't work, follow the manual process in section 3.2.

If XI is installed on Oracle it uses it's own copy/version of the Oracle JDBC driver for internal purposes. This may be why she thinks it's already installed. This won't help you though for the JDBC adapter.

You'll need to go to the Oracle site, download the latest ojdbc14.jar and then follow the guide.

Thanks,

Jesse
