Custom IDOC type with Enhancement import failed in IDX2

Hi Experts,

When try to load the metadata in IDX2 i am getting error like Extension is not assigned to Basic Type, but i checked in WE82 the basic type is assigned to extension, it was working in DEV and QA but i am getting error in PROD, can anyone please help me what else i can check in R3???

hi Praveen,

Kindly make sure that changes with Extension has been transported to Prod. from ECC side.

As ur error shows:

Extension is not assigned to Basic Type

It will be issue from ECC side. You can check WE20 and 21 if everything is fine there.

run transaction we82 in ecc/r3 and do the assignement there

Hi,

I guess you have made sure that the extension is transported to your current Prod-environment if that's where you import your metadata from?

Even so, the metadata will be loaded automatically when the first IDoc/message for that IDoc-type/extension arrives in PI from your ECC-system. That way you can be certain that everything in ECC is up to date since the IDoc was created successfully in your ECC-system.
