alternative component

Hello,

I am new to APO. At SAP ECC,I have maintained alternative component with related alternative setting in BOM. ECC BOM is transferred to APO as PDS. Just wonder how APO PP/DS can check the component availability for alternative component. Can it also include the stock and receipt of alternative parts during planning run and adjust the requirement qty for related parts in planned orders and production orders?

Hello Nancy,

This is done with the CTP scenario in ppds to check the materials are available also

availability of critical components and reserve the component stock for the sales order are performed.
