Variant configuration - Restrict characteristics value

Hi Gurus,

I am working with variant configuration with MTO.

In Sale order level I have some characters like Length, Packing mode and width.

But width is not having any specific value; it is having some range like 100 u2013 1000mm for that reason I am not maintained any value in characteristics level.

My requirement is, the user has to enter the characteristics value between be 100 u2013 1000mm at sales order level. System has to show the error message if the user enter the value below 100 or above 1000.

What is the object dependency for the above requirement?

1) To keep it simple, you can se up the values In the characteristic definition (CT04) itself.

If you find it cumbersome, you can use the 'Other Value Check', tab in the Values tab and from there use check table or function module options.

Yo may also use constraints (type of procedures) to do this.
