Client Copy From Production to Development including business function

Dear Sir,

We have accidently activated business function CWM (Industry Solution Catch Weight Management) in development server. Now I want to deactivate CWM business function and in production server we did't import this request there it is working fine. Is it possible to import production client with customization including business function to development server.

Im finding a lot of info in this thread misleading.

As mentioned before you cannot disable that activation so logic its to recover from backup.

Why do you want to refresh your DEV from PRD?.. If done incorrectly you could lost your version management history and trust me people will not be happy.

Please check your facts before taking a decition

Hello Dinesh,

You can do a client copy or system refresh from production.

Before doing that kindly export the latest custom objects as client export using SAP_CUST profile.

Once the database refresh completes reimport these objects or you can as well export these as transport requests and import them again.

You will retain all the objects which were recently developed and not in production also will have latest production data too.

IF you wanted to replace the development system you could do that as mentioned with system copy of prod to dev, but that does replace dev entirely and now dev is produciton sized. In addition to normal system copy tasks, and exporting/importing program history, you would want to update your next transport number or you will be starting over at DEVK900001. That could cause some issues. You would use db sql commands to update table E070L.

Edit to add.. you want to save your developer keys too (Table DEVACCESS) or everyone needs to add them back as they make changes.

Yes it is posible. You need to perform system copy method and before starting system copy you need to save the transport version table.

1. Release all the transport requests from development

2. Save version table of transpor request

Follow note number " Note 130906 - How can versions be transported"

Dear Dinesh,

Unfortunately there exists no possibilty to deactivate an extension with an extension BCsets are activated. There exists no undo function for this process.

The only option is to revert form the backup for your development server.
