Report Conversion Tool gives Error: Failed on Webintelligence Server

I am connected to the BOXI Server, and all the tools are working fine except the Report Conversion Tool. When I try to convert a Deski report to Webi, the Report Conversion Tool gives the following error:

Error: Failed on Webintelligence Server

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

The BOXI version is 3.1 SP3 running on Windows Server 2008 R2, Tomcat 5.5

I was able to work around this problem by running the Report Conversion Tool from the server.  That is the only way I could get it to work.  I suspect a firewall issue .  . .

Run Report Conversion Tool as Windows-Administrator (Right-click on Report Conversion Tool -> Run as Administrator). That worked for me.

I have the same issue, I got the message: Failure: Error on web intelligence server.

I am using Report Converstion Tool 3.1 SP3.

Did you resolve this issue?

We encountered the same error when using this client tool on Windows 7 against Business Objects XIR3.1 SP3. The error does not occur when using Windows XP, converting the same exact report on the same system.
